Wow.. preview already!? YEP! Why? It’s only because this is if not the most, one of my anticipated anime series that will air on Fall `09. Isn’t Fall just awesome!? *nods* *nods*

Kimi ni Todoke is about a girl named Kuronuma Sawako. She is nicknamed Sadako (from the ring) because many people see her as strange and often mistake her for a ghost. A boy called Kazehaya kun becomes her friend and, to her, is “100% refreshness.”

Thoughts:

All in all, if you haven’t noticed by now, I’m just really excited to see this in an anime adaptation. You do not know how I reacted when I found out that this will be made into an anime.. I literally jumped with joy! Okay, I’m exaggerating on the latter part but I had this big smile on my face when I found out.

Anyhow, if you haven’t read Kimi ni Todoke yet and is interested in watching the anime.. the choice is yours whether you want to read the manga but it’s recommendable~

Seeing as this is Production IG were talking about, I’m looking forward to not be disappointed but I am expecting for more~ Let’s just hope that the anime doesn’t ruin our great manga, ne~? Hehe. TwT

EDIT: ZOMG KYAAAA~ The announcement of the Seiyuus totally made my day better ^^ I can’t wait to see this cast work their way in Kimi ni Todoke. It seriously makes me eager to see it already! :]

It’s ARISA time again! And you know what? I really don’t feel like saying my usual ‘It’s not what you think…’ line because this chapter won’t even allow you to stop and think because of the excitment!

The reason for the collage-y banner is because I didn’t have time to make my usually-long Arisa commentary posts so.. this will be my comments and rantings on this awesome chapter (as usual.)

As usual, the chapter ended up with a cliffhanger but I actually liked the cliffhanger. Why? It makes me want to ship those two! But yeah, just like kanzie and Xiao Jie said, this series can survive and remain popular (well…) even without the romance. Plus, shipping is shipping, as wikipedia says:

Shipping can involve virtually any kind of relationship — from the well-known and established, to the ambiguous or those undergoing development, and even to the highly improbable and the blatantly impossible. People involved in shipping (or shippers) assert that the relationship does exist, will exist, or simply that they would like it to exist.

Although it doesn’t mean that there’s no possibility for romance, it’s just that, now is not the time for romance stuff. I mean, in the middle of a crisis like this you choose to fall in love? Blasphemy. It irritates me that some people look like they’re just reading this series because of the shipping.. *sigh*

I must admit, I’m guilty of shipping these two but I’m not going over-the-top

The whole hospital scene had me confused. Is Mariko some ninja or was Tsubasa and Takeru just ignorant to not notice? I know they were outside looking for Arisa but duuuude, the staff of the hospital should’ve noticed! And I just lol`ed at the robot clown.

I think that in this chapter, I really wanted to smash Mariko’s face on the wall or do the Umineko style gouge the everything! …. and kill! I’ve had enough of her fake genkiness whenever she’s around Tsubasa. She’s such a bitch. Here I am, still betting that she’s the one who’s currently doing the King thing. T__T Sheeeeesh, I hate characters like her. :\ By the way she’s looking toward Midori and Tsubasa(who’s acting as Arisa)’s direction, my impression was that she liked Midori and was jealous. It could just be that she’s just planning another evil plot but the way she sliced that apple? I don’t really think so.

OMGZ. Tsubasa’s real appearance was seen by Manabe! Suspense, suspense! Now that I think about it, Manabe looked like Seiya from Kitchen Princess in that get up. :] *is someone who actually likes Seiya*

Oh dear, I really can’t wait for the next chapter and judging by Xiao Jie’s PreSpoiler post, which I haven’t commented on yet but hopefully I will, it’s going to be exciting! And that would surely make those fangirls happy

Mission 3’s goal is kissing. Will they Kiss or Miss?

We all know that they really wouldn’t kiss yet in this chapter because they’re still on the stage where they’re not yet accustomed with each other or it’s just that, there’s no feeling at all. In their perspective, it’s just a game. Yukina is doing this so that she can have details for her novel and Kitami? He’s being blackmailed to help.

Despite all that conditions, Watashi ni xx Shinasai never fails to make me squeeeee in fangirl and this chapter was no exception. Actually, I fangirled a lot in this one. Fangirling can’t be triggered by kissing and stuff only, it’s the spark.

Imo, this chapter just proves even more how different it is from Tooyama-sensei’s other works. WnxxS! still has ‘Tooyama-cliches’ but things have changed. Read on and find out..

The chapter starts with Yukina asking Shigure to kiss her for their third mission but because of Shigure’s arguing, they were spotted by two girls before they could even proceed to doing the act (Not that, Shigure would’ve wanted it to happen at that state). Before leaving, Yukina tells Shigure that she’ll definitely make it happen next time.

Let’s be honest, you can’t really expect these two to fall in love with each other so fast and with so, you can’t expect a kiss so soon. Like I said a while ago, for them it would just be a game and not ‘love’ at all. I admit I was disappointed that the kiss didn’t happen but when I looked at it again, now’s not the right time.

Duuuuuuude Kitami’s so evil that I love him! Here’s one thing that’s different from Ema Tooyama’s other works, Kitami is a badboy. (The types that I go for in manga~) If you’ve noticed, the lead guys in Koko ni Iru Yo! and Mamacolle aren’t badboys, their the popular-yet-good type!

He’s probably Ema Tooyama’s hottest guy yet! <3

Yukina’s reflection time is something I find touching. Touching in a way that she’s beginning to feel things that she usually doesn’t feel. It’s like she’s entering a world she didn’t knew existed. I just D`AWWWWWed so much while reading her lines here. ;3 Yukina can be so deredere!

So, Yukina and Akira arrive at Yukina’s house and was welcomed by her parents.

lolololololz. Yukina’s parents are amusing to see! So I guess we can assume know that Yukina has her dad’s attitude in her But anyways, it makes me laugh seeing them so lovey-dovey yet Yukina can’t get a hint for her novel (not that I’m blaming her). I don’t think I could eat properly if I see my parents acting like that but still, this is manga.

The next day, rumours of Yukina forcing Kitami to kiss her have spread out in the school and when Yukina arrived at her desk, she found it tortured and writings full of anger. A group of girls then asked Yukina to come with them for a talk.

I swear, those freak can go die in a fire now. I really hate stuff like fangirl rage in manga, it’s illogical. Well, you can’t help that they’d go that far because they like Kitami but seriously? They’re just making a fool out of themselves.

On the back of the school, the girls confront Yukina about the rumour and what she did to Shigure. Shigure however, was just at the top, smirking and seeing how things will happen.

Here’s another thing that Ema Tooyama-sensei likes so much, when the fangirls attack/confront the main girl. It happened a lot in Koko ni Iru Yo, mind you. However..

Before the girls can continue with their bullying, Yukina starts talking and telling them their hidden secrets, because of this, the girls ran away from fear of their innermost secrets to be revealed. Shigure, who was observing got startled as the fangirl’s didn’t work on her at all like, she doesn’t have any weakness.

In this manga, the heroine doesn’t need saving from the hero, she and her fierceness can most specially save herself from trouble. Mou Yukina you’re just too awesome! <3 This is why heroines like her are so likeable, they can stand on their own and not depend on others a lot.

Even after getting her stuff back, she still doesn’t have her gym uniform and states that there’s something in there that she can’t show anyone. Of course, Shigure, who was eavesdropping got curious and went to the storage room. Shigure, who was in the storage room found her gym uniform and is wondering what secret might be in there. (I was lol-ing at that scene because he looked like a perv who was looking for a girl’s undies xDDD)

I’m guessing that Yukina saw where Shigure was already and that what she said was just a trap to lure him and confront him.

See what I mean? Take that Shigure, Yukina has pwned you yet again! XDDDDD

Yukina tells Shigure that she’s mad not because he’s trying to look for her weakness (see, she knows all along, that’s how awesome she is) but because he’s using the girls who go gaga for his own amusement. In other words, just because he knew that they liked him, he took the advantage of making this a way to find out Yukina’s weakness.

After that, Yukina tells Shigure for them to continue what they haven’t done last time.

Kitami is still looking irritated on the whole idea and finally gave up saying that he just have to kiss her and it’s done with. Or something like that. This is why I adore these two <3

Okay, be honest with me, who didn’t fangirl like crazy in this scene? Because I know I did =w= <333

I’m melting inside out when I stumbled on that scene and both Yukina and Shigure’s expression doesn’t help either! Yukina’s innocent look and Shigure’s tough and determined (or is that irritated?) look together just makes me crazy! What triggered me was when Yukina said that Shigure was close and he responded by saying ‘Duh’.

Oh dear, I’m such an easily-pleased person XP

Enough about that, Shigure asks Yukina to close he eyes and she voluntarily follows, waiting for the kiss..

..only for it to be a kiss with the air (or pretend kiss)! Oh fck, blushing Shigure is adorable! Is he really a bad boy type!?

Yukina is obviously disappointed saying that Shigure has to kiss her on the lips and they argue. Shigure points out that her glasses were also in the way and tries to grab it from her. Yukina suddenly shouts that he shouldn’t touch her and she must have her glasses.

Wow.. just wow, I never expected Yukina to act like that. Here I am theorizing that Yukina will go deredere whenever she’s with Shigure or something…

Judging by her reaction, it was just too obvious for Shigure that her glasses were her weakness.

Final Thoughts: This chapter was awesome! I didn’t expect her glasses to be her weakness at all! Now I’m just curious.. :O

If you haven’t heard of it, I tell you what, Mayu Shinjo’s new serialization ‘Heart no Diamond’ started on the September `09 issue of Ribon Magazine. Yes, Ribon; a manga whose target readers are usually girls who are in their teens.

We have been given a gist of the series’ plot but as far as I could say, this would be a lot different than Shinjo Mayu’s other works. Why? It’s because Shinjo Mayu is a popular mangaka whose works are oriented towards older readers. Yup, her works would mostly contain smut; an example would be Kaikan Phrase, Ai Ore and more.

The issue? Nothing really, I’m just wondering how she’ll be doing it without smut. I think one thing that her readers like from her works are the smut scenes so would this series be able to buy some fans or so?

That’s right, after loitering around the official Umineko (anime) website, I found 3 more Official Character Designs Released. Two of which haven’t even appeared in the anime yet while the other is just Beato in ‘human’ form.

Somehow, basing on the proportions of the hair, I can’t seem to choose between the anime and VN version but I just have to choose the anime ver. Lucifer looks stunningly evil~ I’m loving her already!

ASMODEUS

Why didn’t they include the full-body sketches? :< Twintails! This is probably what I like about Asmodeus, her twintails! Hehehe xDDD Like her design too.. I think I can point out big differences between Asmodeus in anime and Asmodeus in VN but who cares!?

BEATO ‘HUMAN’ FORM

Nothing much to say about this but Beato still looks effin’ awesome in anything she wears. Love the socks, girl~

Overall Thoughts:

I didn’t expect the character designs for Lucifer and Asmodeus yet, truth be hold. I was actually hoping to see Lambdadelta’s chara design first because it’s not too long until she appears in the anime right? Anyways, I’m still satisfied with all the character designs ^^ (Yup~ I’m so biased!)

Anyways, it those times of the school year again when Hell takes over and Exams hover over us. Because of this, I’ll be taking a short leave on everything. Yep, everything. You might still see me on twitter whenever I feel like tweeting about my status (not that you probably care about that) but I will not be around the blogosphere that much. Sure I’ll be taking rounds on my dailies (aka looking around for updates) but I won’t actually do any watching/reading/blogging.

This whole Hiatus thing will start on Thursday, August 6, 2009 up to Friday next week, August 14, 2009. 8 days break huh? Think I could do it? I personally think that I can’t stay away from that computer so I’ll be alotting 1 hours for the daily rounds

This show’s awesomeness and yuri-ness never fails to amuse me XP

First off, I really wonder why most dropped this show so easily and the only 2 answers that I can accept would probably because they dislike/do not understand mahjong OR because they dislike yuri. The other reasons? I couldn’t care less. Sometimes, I get the feeling that I’m the only female left who actually likes/enjoys this show.

Anyhow, just so you know,Saki is one of the anime series that I find so interesting and is always looking forward to see because at the end of each episode, there is always a climax that awaits you. Other than that, Saki is just simply awesome. Truthfully speaking, I’m so awed by Saki.

And Episode 18 just made me like it even more. Saki is definitely one you should try if you’re looking for something fun to watch. Beware of yuri though but you really shouldn’t just think of that.

In crazy fangirl words: “OMGZZ, I totally L<3VE Saki episode 18!!!!111oneone”

Thoughts:

• Not exactly on of mine but I’m sure 7 enjoyed the first few minutes of Saki. ^^ (with Yuuki and all..)
• I don’t see why it’s necessary (probably for relationship development) for them to show the past evens between these those pairs (Momo and Umi), (Kana and Mihoko). It made me understand where are those attractions came from at first
• I dunno why but Kana somehow irritates me T_T
• You know you gotta lol like crazy at the guy near the game center who got easily dumbfounded when Saki asked if she can take it of. What exactly was the it there? Oh, nothing but her shoes. Albeit that guy there is a perv D< ^__^
• Saki(the person) is awesome. I was kind of confused why she kept on helping Kana but in the end, it was all a trap. Gee, good thinking girl!
• I’m a Koromo fan so I loved all the scenes with Koromo in it. The part when Saki mentions the word ‘family’, it was as if something stabbed her. D`awww poor Koromo T^T

Well, that’s pretty much my explainable thoughts on the episode. What does that mean? I’ll be watching Saki `til the end, of course! I don’t know with you but I swear, this show is awesome! Even I, someone who is totally clueless about mahjong, watches this and I’m drawn to it This is my 3rd priority in watching this season

I can’t wait for the next episode! Will Koromo be pwned by Saki?

Anyways, a while back, chartfag has released the V1 of the Fall `09 Anime Lineup and here’s I, Kitari with my first impressions for the lineup. Yes, the lineup, not the season itself.

As you can see from above (it’s clickable to get the bigger un-gif’ed ver., btw) I’ve marked the 5 series that I’m surely watching which are Kobato, Kimi ni Todoke (yup, that one on the list was a typo), 11eyes, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza and Seitokai no Ichizon! For sure, these five are my priorities.

As for the others, I’m going to try and check out those who would catch my eye depending on their PV. Haha, picky little bitch I am~

I’m just looking forward for the final version to really give a comment on how awesomesauce Fall `09 is!

Because all these matters cannot fit in tweets alone, I decided to make a post on my Summer `09 (so far). If you’re wondering, the things I’m going to be talking about here are pure opinions so please don’t get offended okay? Anyways, what I’m talking about are just my issues this Summer `09

So how has Summer `09 been for me? See if we have the same thoughts! Feel free to express your opinions too ;]

If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you might have seen my numerous rants and ramblings about time. It’s just that since school’s started already, I’m just so busy.  As you may know, Summer in our country is on March-May so right now it’s school season and being an honor student, I’m just so cautious because I feel like my focus is getting wavered.

So here’s a post that I felt making because I needed somewhere to express myself and hope it won’t turn out as a tl;dr but yeah..

Anyways, let’s start with my long Summer `09 (this is not anime alone, mind you!) Status ;D

• Backlogging

There are big big reasons why I can’t bring myself to stop and take a break and one of them would be my big backlog list. This even expands from Fall `08! Currently, the only Summer `09 and some continuing from Spring `09 shows that I’m not backlogging for a while are Umineko, Bakemonogatari, Pandora Hearts, Hetalia, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Sora no Manimani, Umi Monogatari and Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou.  (I’m enjoying most of the Summer shows here to avoid more backlogging).

Yes, those are the ones I didn’t put on backlog yet and if I were to backlog again, the only 2 left would be Umineko and Bakemonogatari because those two are my priorities. Hehe. ^^;; As for the others that I’m partially backlogging, I’m just pushing the episode aside after I dl them but still watch them when I can ^^ Or the subs are just fckn’ slow.

This is what I get from picking up too many shows; What can I do? My interests are crazy!

• Slow Subs/Scanlations got you down?

As you may have noticed this Summer, there aren’t much releases of interesting manga chapters. Don’t get me wrong, I understand the hard work that scanlators put into doing this but I’m wondering what you feel about that. Does it make you feel saddened or something?

Honestly, this slow subs/scanlations would be a great help for me because if I have no distractions then I can happily watch animes but I’m a person who love mangas all the same as anime so it makes me less inspired to do something. Haha.

Sometimes, what I do to lessen my boredom is to view the raws. Yes, I’m an impatient little bitch, live with it

On slow subs.. I’m wondering what happened to the subbers of GA, Sora no Manimani and Umi Monogatari? I’m not much in problem with SnM and UM’s subbers because at least they release the torrent a day before the next episode but GA? I think I could finish all those in my backlog list and the 2nd episode hasn’t been released yet xDDD No offense~ Take your time Ayako subs!

Other than my b*tchy complains, I also want to praise the awesome gg fansubs for their fast release of Umineko. I swear, by the next day, the time I get home from school I already have the dl to it and it makes me so happy to be able to watch Umineko. *claps for gg fansubs* I can clearly remember Coalguy’s fast yet HQ subs on K-On! ;3

• Umineko has taken over Kitari

That’s right, the worst has come.

What’s the worst? I got so addicted to Umineko already. It’s not obvious right? [/sarcasm] Well yeah, I’m just so obssesed now o.O Gee, If I had money, I’ll totally buy all the Umineko games available! Or if I’m totally lucky, I could get a copy from the internet but that would be so bad…

I dunno but somehow I feel sad that Umineko has taken more attention in my blog. You know, I feel like wanting to post a lot of things that I find interesting but I never seem to have time to do so. That’s why I post so much on twitter, if you’ve noticed. However, it isn’t enough. *sigh*

Okay, shoot me now for being so emo on the issue.

• Kitari recommends… MEDAKA BOX!

This is a manga series that I started reading lately and what do you know, I like it! <3 It’s totally recommended for those who love comedy-genred mangas because this manga? Oh it’s full of lol-worthy events in every chapter that you’ll want to gag. It’s ecchi, yeah, but it’s not the type that shows it’s ecchiness oh-so-often. I think the only reason why they consider this ecchi because of Medaka’s big busts and times when she undresses in front of Zenkichi but it’s no big deal really. Try it and you’ll love it.

The concept?

From MangaUpdates:

Kurokami Medaka, a first year, is elected as Student Council President, and the first thing she does is establish a suggestion box. Since she was just elected as Student Council President, she’s holding all the Student Council’s responsibilities, and wearing their armbands.

So, she asks her childhood friend, Hitoyoshi Zenkichi, for help.

Just a warning, imo, people tends to misunderstand this series because of Medaka being a Mary Sue. Well, she’s not exactly Mary Sue but the way they portray her is of a perfect person (even though she isn’t) and people who are against stereotypes like that tend to bash this series. Oh come on, it’s not like Medaka is the Mary Sue type that boasts her perfection to others right?

So, what are you waiting for? Try it now! :]

• New Bakemonogatari Banner!

If you’ve noticed, there’s a new banner going around my blog and this time it’s Hitagi from Bakemonogatari, my 2nd fave show of the season! And no, you’re not seeing a trend here that the next banner would be the next on my list. It depends on whatever beautiful scan of any series that I find and can make a banner of ^^

• Kaede x Anise scan coloring <3

So I found this really cute pic of Kaede and Anise in Barajou no Kiss’ 11th chapter and got inspired to color it even though I already had a big workload hanging I actually tried a new style of coloring this one and I like how it turned out. It just bothers me that it took a total of 5 hours (with breaks in between) to finish coloring the whole scan.
